Mariah the Kultarr- Reference and Biography

Edit: I actually changed her name because I was never happy with her previous name, I never knew how to pronounce it so I changed it to something I could actually pronounce. XDDD

This one will be short, I only created her quite recently so I will be adding more to her as I go on. Bare with me! XDD

Name: Mariah the Jerboa
Name Pronunciation: Mer-I-ah
Nicknames: 'Bookworm' and 'Mars' by her big Sis Faith  
Age: You usually see her when she was super young, 10 years old exactly. But she's actually 17 years old in the time my comic is written.
Birthday: March 11th
Voice: Fully enough, the co-star with the YouTuber Matthias in this video named Mariah (this is why I changed her name to this, it's so much fun to say XDDD):

Powers/Abilities: She doesn't have any powers however, because she's a Jerboa she can jump super high due to the strange structure of her legs. All Jerboas too have complete control over her tail, almost acting like a 3rd arm which most species of animal don't have that luxury, to Melaine and her family consider this a superpower.
General Personality: Mariah is a very sweet, curious and supportive person, always trying to support and motivate the people around her. However, Melanie despite her curiosity is a bit of a recluse and prefers to stay in the safety of her own home with her hobbies which means that she doesn't meet many people unlike her sister and brother. She can also be very gullible due to her young age and be easily influenced by the cautious and close mindedness of her brother, and the reckless and open minded nature of her sister. Mariah isn't stupid, it's more the fact that she doesn't have much of a critical thinking due to her young age but this gets much better as she grows up.
Occupation/Job: She has none at the moment, but she would like to become an Author when she's older and she eventually does.
Relationship Status: Because of how reclusive she is, she has no interest in having a boyfriend or getting into a relationship. She does write about it though when she does write her own books.

Fun Facts:
1) Mariah spends most of her time writing and it's usually about fantasy worlds and settings. The mythical creatures have always fascinated her and she wants to give them a personality herself when she writes about them.
2) Her favourite sport is the hurdles, since she is a Jerboa after all. She's the only one in her family who's interested in sports, since Quinlan keeps himself very busy and Faith would rather try the sport herself than just watch it.
3) Mariah is very fussy with her hair, mainly because she's the only one out of her siblings that has proper blonde hair. She finds it very funny that she's the only one that does and takes pride in being so different. Not many people can touch her hair, only her family and her very close friends can.

Bio and Backstory:
Like Faith, she doesn't have a tragic story and it's because she wasn't too involved or knowledgeable about what Faith and Quinlan were going through. A lot of the time she was cautious about what was going on, especially since Faith practically dragged in an almost dead, random and quite intimidating person into the house. She was both scared and curious about this strange person. She knew that this person had a lot of history hiding behind the limp and broken physical shape to him which drew her curiosity towards him, wishing to find out more about this person and it was the same way with her sister who met him in the first place. Mariah joined her sister in taking care of this strange person and her initial fears were slowly fading but the constant condescending remarks from Quinlan always brought them back. Whilst Faith stood up to Quinlan's comments, Mariah chose to sit in the side lines and sort of agree with the both of them, she wanted to help this person who Faith nicknamed him 'Angel' but at the same time, they couldn't just bring some random person in the house like he was apart of the family. The arguments always made her upset from the confusion and the anger shared between her siblings, she kind of acted like the straight person in the family often having to sort the two out. The tension between everyone in the house really brought her down at times, but it was nice for Mariah to see Faith so happy when she talked about 'Angel' as you can really see her motivation that has never been seen beforehand. She was quite the lazy thing before meeting 'Angel'.
